The Bhutan Photography tour is designed to explore the Happiness paradise since Bhutan is one of the ultimate destinations for those interested in photographing nature, landscape, architecture and Bhutan’s cultural heritage and the people. It does not matter if you are a professional photographer or a complete beginner; all photographers are welcomed to connect with Bhutan’s unseen treasure. Infact it is too much fun to travel and photograph to the mystic land of a beautiful mountain, abundant flora and fauna, architect of Bhutan’s houses and monasteries, captivating landscapes and culture of Bhutan. Our tour program not only provides the photography tour, but it also gets the privilege to interact with Bhutanese people and learn about their lifestyle, tradition and capturing breathtaking pristine nature.

Day 1 Paro – Thimphu 

Flight to Bhutan enjoying the spectacular view of Himalayan ranges. Reaching Paro International airport, enjoy the scenic road to the capital city of Thimphu with our representatives. Rest for a while and visit the National Memorial Chorten, built in the memory of the third king. Enjoy circumambulating the chorten with locals. Continue your visit to Kuenselphodrang, which sights the massive statue Shakyamuni overlooking Thimphu city before you leave for the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2 Explore Thimphu 

Begin your day drive to the end of the road and hike to Tango monastery, the northern part of Thimphu; it is the only Buddhist university where monks are educated. Descend and drive back to oldest Changangkha temple, National Library, house collection of Bhutanese scripture dating back to the 8th century. Continue your visit to Tashi Chhodzong and takin Reserve Centre. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu – Punakha

After your breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula pass (3100m). A clear day offers an incredible view of the Himalayan mountains. It reached you to the Punakha valley after you descend through beautiful landscapes and the forest. Visit Punakha Dzong, located in the confluence of two rivers, Pho Chu and Mo Chu, before leaving to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4 Explore Punakha Valley 

Start your day hiking through the rice field to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten, built by Azhi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuk; you will sight the spectacular view of the valley from Chorten. Then, descend back and visit the famous 15th-century Chimi Lhakhang (fertility temple), believed to be a blessing for those who do not have a child and desire to conceive. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5 Punakha – Bumthang 

Drive to Bumthang valley via Pelela pass(3420m) towards Trongsa, and traditionally the token is considered the boundary of western and central Bhutan. First, spend your time photographing beautiful sights. Then, continue your drive via Yutongla pass(3400m), descend to Bumthang valley, enjoying the breathtaking sceneries through the pine forest and valleys. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 6 Explore Bumthang 

Visit Jampa Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built by the Tibetan emperor in the 7th century. Then, continue your visit to Kurjee Lhakhang, the famous temple where the body print of Guru Rinpoche is featured on the rock inside the temple. Then, make a visit to Tamzhing monastery, built saint by Pema Lingpa, spend your time carrying chain and circumambulate the temple to cleanse the sins. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 8 Bumthang – Trongsa 

Begin your day traveling to Trongsa through the pine trees and the passes. Then, visit Ta Dzong (Museum), which offers the sights of the statue and historical monuments of the Monarchy. Next, continue visiting Trongsa Dzong, the largest dzong in Bhutan and the masterpiece for the architect of Bhutan. Finally, enjoy exploring the beautiful town of Trongsa with our representatives. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 9 Trongsa – Phobjikha 

Drive to Phobjikha valley via Chendebji Chorten, an unusual style of chorten painted with eyes in four directions. Continue driving through the rhododendron forest into the valley, enjoying the scenic view. Spend some time with the locals. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 10 Explore Phobjikha Valley

Begin your day visiting Gangtey Monastery, built in the 16th century, and the Kuenzangcholing Buddhist institute, founded by Gangtey Rinpoche. Then, hike to the nature trail through pine trees and villages with our representatives; you might spot the roosting place of Black Naked Crane and the scenic view of Phobjikha valley. Finally, visit the Black Naked Crane Centre, providing an informative display of Black Naked Crane, valley, and habitats. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 11 Phobjikha – Paro 

Drive to the Paro valley via wangdue Phodrang and the famous Duchula pass. Make a stopover at the access to enjoy photographing the beautiful Himalayan ranges and the stupa. Visit Tachog Lhakhang, the temple of the hill of the excellent horse, built by saint Thangtong Gyelpo. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 12 Explore Paro Valley 

Start your day visiting the oldest Kyichu Lhakhang, 7th-century temple, and the Paro National Museum. Then, continue visiting Paro Dzong and the rare and unique style Dumtse Lhakhang, notable as it is in the form of chorten. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 13 Explore Paro Valley

With excitement, hike to the most famous Tiger’s Nest monastery, a revered ancient cites. Experience astonishing views from the sanctuary, perched on a cliff 900m above the valley floor. Spend your time in the town once you reach back. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 14 Departure

Today, our representatives will escort you to the Paro international airport for your departure.
